When Dewasne discovered the model for the construction of the Centre Pompidou in Paris in 1970 in the company of Mr Bordas, Germain Viatte and the architects Renzo Piano and Richard Rogers, he protested against the gray color envisaged to cover the building ; and the all went to see Jean Dewasne’s studio, where all the heating pipes were painted in bright colors, like the numerous Antisculptures displayed around them.[…] they immediately decided to take it as a model because the problem suddenly seemed evident to them : the Centre Pompidou would be colored.
