Bauduin
À propos de l'artiste
A work accompanied by a philosophic thought. In a clear aesthetic, Bauduin cultivate the Wabi, in Japanese it means a kind of vanishing beauty, a quality of refinement erased by rusticity. He doesn’t interfere as a Nils Udo or a Richard Long, but deposes glass or stone. What’s left of his interventions are books, videos and what he calls ‘dessins de terre’, sketches for up coming works. He came back to the painting in 2000, the theme is the obliteration, here is what he is telling about it :
obliteration, the barely perceptible, the limits of disappearance within transparence.
The square is the graphic form, sometimes seconded by a circle or a triangle.
The paint used is white acrylic ; the drawing is in black ink.
Born in 1943 Plougoumelen, died in 2022 in Bretagne
